Identification: Size: male 56-60 cm, female 48 cm. Dark peacock-pheasant.
Habitats: Bamboo mixed forest and semi-evergreen forest
Status & Range: South-East to part of Central Highland. Found locally common at Cat Tien national park, also found at Tan Phu forest, Bu Gia Map natural reserve. Sometimes seen up to Chu Yang Sin national park at lower 1500m. Recently found in Cambodia (near border to Vietnam), Near-endemic, Near Threatened
